Bring review requests and customer feedback into your email marketing

The Judge.me and Mailchimp integration lets you send review requests with Mailchimp templates and use submitted feedback in your marketing. Sync review and reviewer data, build segments, trigger follow-up flows and feature a review in a campaign. Judge.me supplies the review events; Mailchimp controls email design and delivery.

Ask for reviews in your own email style

A music store could request feedback on a kalimba using the same design as its other customer emails. Build the automation and template in Mailchimp, then enable Judge.me’s request trigger so the flow can act when it is time to ask for a review.

Respond to the feedback customers share

Use a submitted review to start a thank-you or service follow-up. Segment by review date, product, store or score to make the message relevant. Review activity also appears on contact profiles, giving your team context for future campaigns.

Feature a review alongside your products

Use Mailchimp’s Feature a review content block to select feedback from your connected store. Choose whether to show its headline, rating and customer name, and shorten long reviews to fit your email layout. This is a configured campaign block, separate from the automated review-request flow.

How the integration works

Connect Judge.me from Mailchimp’s integrations area and authorise the Shopify store. Allow the initial review-data sync to finish, then configure your segments, content blocks or automation flows in Mailchimp.

To send review requests, enable Send trigger when it’s time to send a review request in Judge.me’s Mailchimp settings after preparing the Mailchimp flow and template. Connecting the accounts alone does not activate the email journey.

Before you connect

• Judge.me: Awesome is required to send review requests through Mailchimp.

• Mailchimp: marketing automation flows require a paid plan. Available automation and segmentation features vary by plan; choose the plan that supports your intended flow.

• Store and access: the same Shopify store must be linked to both apps. You need Manager-level access or higher to change the integration in Mailchimp.

• Marketing consent: only customers who have agreed to receive marketing emails can trigger Mailchimp automations.

• Sync and activation: allow the first sync to complete, save the Judge.me request-trigger setting and activate the Mailchimp flow you want to use.

Get started

Already using both apps? Follow the Judge.me guide, then test the selected flow with a subscribed test customer. For review requests, confirm the Judge.me trigger reaches the active Mailchimp flow and that its email contains the intended product review link. Preview any featured-review blocks before sending a campaign.

New to either app? Install Judge.me and Mailchimp, connect the same Shopify store and choose the plans needed for your email workflow.
