Judge.me & Shop integration

Connect product feedback across Shop and your storefront

The Judge.me and Shop integration connects two review experiences. You can display eligible reviews collected in Shop on your Shopify storefront, and enable Shop to display qualifying product feedback collected through Judge.me. Each direction has its own settings and eligibility rules.

Bring Shop customer feedback onto the product page

A hardware store selling a brass door knocker through Shop and its own website can display eligible written Shop reviews on the matching storefront product. These reviews carry the Verified by Shop badge, helping visitors understand their source.

Past and new eligible written reviews can sync into Judge.me. They are published automatically and are managed through Shop, rather than through your usual Judge.me moderation controls.

Make eligible storefront feedback available in Shop

Enable partner-app review display in your Shop settings to make qualifying Judge.me product reviews available there. Shop checks the customer, order and product identifiers and its own eligibility requirements before displaying them.

This direction does not send every review to a Shop listing. Imported feedback, store reviews and reviews that do not meet Shop’s conditions are excluded. Enabling Shop’s display setting does not switch on the separate inbound Shop-review sync.

How the integration works

Connect and configure the supported review settings in Judge.me and Shop. For inbound reviews, Judge.me retrieves eligible written Shop feedback for existing products and displays it automatically. Changes, removals and replies made through Shop update the synced review.

For outbound feedback, Judge.me makes review data available through Shopify metaobjects, and Shop chooses which reviews qualify for display. Data being available to Shop is not the same as a review being approved for display there.

Before you connect

• Judge.me: the Free plan supports the connection. The Shop channel app is free, while your store still needs to meet Shopify’s Shop eligibility requirements.

• Shop eligibility: these include a Starter-or-higher Shopify plan, Shopify Payments, an accessible online store, eligible products and Shopify’s chargeback requirements. Check the current full requirements before setup.

• Outbound review data: qualifying English-language product feedback needs the customer, order and product identifiers Shop requires. Imported CSV, Google and Etsy reviews are excluded from this route.

• Inbound management: Shop reviews cannot be individually edited, hidden, archived, moved or deleted in Judge.me. Manage them and their replies in Shop.

• Publication: inbound Shop reviews do not follow Judge.me’s autopublish settings. Deleted-product and rating-only reviews are not included.

• Disconnecting: disabling inbound sync removes the Shop reviews from Judge.me. The outbound partner-display control is separate.

Get started

Already using Judge.me and Shop? Decide which direction you need, enable its setting and check an eligible written review on the destination product. Confirm its source and management controls before enabling the second direction.

New to Shop? Install the channel, check your store’s eligibility and set up its review controls alongside Judge.me. Test one qualifying product and inspect both the accepted and excluded review cases. For outbound display, check an imported or incomplete-identifier review as well as an eligible one; a connected feed alone does not prove Shop will display every review.
