Put product reviews to work in your Shopify workflows
The Judge.me and MESA integration connects review activity to actions in Shopify and other apps. Start from a template to tag customers who leave a review or add incoming feedback to Google Sheets, then adjust the workflow to fit your store. Judge.me manages the reviews; MESA carries out the actions you configure.
Recognise customers who have shared feedback
A homeware store could add a Reviewer tag to the Shopify customer who reviews an incense holder. The tag makes that customer easier to find when the team plans a follow-up or looks at feedback from existing customers. MESA’s template uses the reviewer’s Shopify customer ID to identify the profile; it does not create a new customer record for every review.
Choose the tag in the workflow. If the customer already has that tag, Shopify does not add a duplicate. You can add a filter if you want the tagging rule to depend on the review rating.
Keep new reviews in a shared feedback log
MESA’s Google Sheets template adds a row for each new review, using the review fields you select. Your team can organise the feedback alongside product notes and review trends without entering each row manually. This template captures reviews after activation; it does not backfill existing reviews. Use separate workflows for separate Judge.me store accounts.
How the integration works
Authorise Judge.me through the connection in MESA. Choose a review-triggered template, connect the destination app and configure its action, such as a customer tag or spreadsheet field mapping. Save and activate the workflow after testing it.
For a custom workflow that needs to retrieve reviews, MESA also provides Get List of Reviews. Its connection guide explains how to narrow the returned reviews by reviewer or rating. Retrieving a list is a separate action from capturing new review events.
Before you connect
Shopify and Judge.me: use the apps on the store you want to connect. Judge.me’s paid Awesome plan is required for the webhook-triggered workflows.
MESA: choose a plan with enough tasks for your workflows. Starter includes 50 monthly tasks; larger plans provide higher allowances.
Customer matching: the tagging template needs the reviewer’s Shopify customer ID. Check that the intended review identifies a customer before relying on the tag.
Destination accounts: connect Google Sheets or any other app used by your workflow, with the required permissions.
Activation: authorising the apps alone does not start a configured workflow.

Already using both apps? Connect Judge.me in MESA, choose the customer-tagging or Google Sheets template and customise the action. Test a new review and check the intended customer profile or spreadsheet row. For tagging, also test a customer who already has the tag before activating the workflow.
