Eligible product-review feed → Google Shopping product ratings

Judge.me and Google Shopping integration: illustration of an eligible product-review feed supplying Google Shopping product ratings.

Make product feedback available while shoppers compare on Google

The Judge.me and Google Shopping integration submits eligible product reviews for Google’s Product Ratings program. Ratings can appear on Shopping ads and free product listings when Google matches the feedback and decides it is suitable for display. Judge.me handles the review feed; you manage your product catalog separately in Google Merchant Center.

Add product experience to the shopping comparison

A kitchenware store selling a terracotta spice grinder can submit written feedback about that product alongside the identifiers Google needs to match it. Shoppers comparing the item may then see product ratings in the Shopping experience.

This connection supports product ratings. It does not provide Google Store or Seller Ratings, import Google Business Profile feedback, or guarantee stars in ordinary organic search results.

Keep eligible reviews moving without manual file uploads

The current API feed sends eligible new reviews automatically and uses background syncs for updates. It replaces the manual-file workflow for stores using that feed version, while older XML setups have a separate migration path.

Submission is not a display guarantee. Google checks the reviews, matches products and controls whether ratings appear, including whether they show on free listings, sponsored listings or both.

How the integration works

First submit and complete approval of your Products feed in Google Merchant Center. In Judge.me, check that you have at least 50 eligible product reviews, review the feed settings and submit the Product Ratings feed.

Judge.me’s API feed goes through a centralized Merchant Center account it manages. You do not need to supply your own API credentials, and those review records do not appear as a separate feed in your own Merchant Center. Google typically takes around ten days to process the feed; inspect live Shopping listings after that window.

Use consistent product identifiers across the product and review feeds. GTINs, or suitable brand and manufacturer-part information, help Google match feedback to the right item. Product names alone are not a reliable matching strategy.

Before you connect

  • Judge.me: Awesome and at least 50 eligible product reviews are required.

  • Google: set up Merchant Center and an approved Products feed separately. Merchant Center and free listings are free; advertising spend is separate.

  • Written feedback: rating-only and store reviews are excluded. Eligibility also depends on source; many imports, manual requests, review links and cross-store shared reviews are not included.

  • Review status: both verified and unverified eligible feedback can be sent, including hidden, archived and pending reviews. Storefront moderation does not control feed inclusion.

  • Selection: review the eligible count and category-level feed settings. You cannot individually curate reviews in or out of the feed.

  • Existing XML setup: follow the migration guide and check for duplicate sources before changing your setup. The API path has no self-service return to XML.

  • Disconnection: disabling the API feed stops new and updated uploads. It does not remove reviews already sent to Google; hiding or deleting them in Judge.me does not withdraw the Google copy.

Get started

Already using Judge.me? Check the eligible-review count and product identifiers, submit the feed and allow Google’s processing window. Look for a recent eligible review on its correct Shopping product listing, rather than expecting an API review source in your own Merchant Center.

New to the connection? Install Judge.me, choose Awesome and prepare your Merchant Center product feed. Build enough eligible written feedback, review the feed’s scope and then submit it. Check the eligible-review summary rather than the overall review count, and inspect an excluded import as well as an eligible review before treating the feed as ready.
