The Judge.me and Google Business Profile integration imports feedback from the Google locations you select into Judge.me. Reviews arrive as store reviews and can appear alongside other feedback about your service and shopping experience. New reviews sync every seven days after you connect the account and initiate the first import.

Help online shoppers understand the business behind the products

A homewares shop with a Google Business Profile can show that business feedback on its Shopify homepage. Comments about helpful service or the in-store experience give online visitors more context about the shop they are considering buying from.

These are reviews of the business. They remain store reviews in Judge.me and cannot be reassigned to individual products or treated as evidence of a particular product’s performance.

Choose locations and a display that fits your store

Connect the Google account that manages your Business Profile and select the locations to sync. Then use a store-review display, such as a homepage carousel, to place feedback where visitors can find it.

Judge.me’s Free plan includes the sync and carousel options. Awesome adds displays such as the Happy Customers Widget, Pop-up Reviews and Floating Reviews Tab. The plan required for a chosen display is separate from the plan required to import the reviews.

How the integration works

Authorise Google Business Profile from Judge.me, initiate the sync and choose your locations. Judge.me imports the reviews in the background and shows the last and next sync dates. New feedback is then collected on a seven-day schedule.

The connection runs from Google Business Profile into Judge.me. It does not post Judge.me reviews back to Google, change your Google rating or convert business feedback into product reviews.

Imported reviews are unverified in Judge.me. Photos and videos attached to Google reviews are not imported. A Google-source transparency label can identify where the review was written without changing its verification status.

Before you connect

• Judge.me: the Free plan supports the import. Install Judge.me on Shopify, then connect Google Business Profile from its settings.

• Google access: use the account that manages the eligible Business Profile locations you want to sync. Google lets eligible businesses add or claim a profile at no charge.

• Store-review placement: imported Google feedback does not appear in a product-only review tab by default. Choose a store-review widget or enable the Store Reviews tab where supported.

• Review controls: these reviews cannot be edited, deleted or replied to within Judge.me. Manage responses on Google.

• Verification: unverified Google imports can affect the Authenticity score used for Judge.me medals; a source label is not a verified-buyer badge.

• Timing and availability: allow the first background sync to finish, then expect weekly updates. Regional Google restrictions can affect the connection.

• Disconnecting: existing imported reviews remain visible in Judge.me after disconnection. Reconnecting can retrieve new reviews and update existing ones changed on Google.

Already using Judge.me? Connect the managing Google account, select the correct locations and initiate the sync. Filter reviews by Google source and confirm the selected locations. Then inspect the store-review display, its unverified status and the absence of imported review photos before treating the setup as ready.
