The Judge.me and Dotdigital integration brings review data into your marketing. Use feedback to build audience segments, enrol existing contacts in automated programs and display reviews in campaign content. Judge.me supplies the reviews; Dotdigital manages the segments, programs and email design.
Follow up with the right message
Use review activity, ratings and product details to shape a thank-you or support follow-up. A homeware store could respond differently to a customer who enjoyed a desk fan and one who needs help with it. Program enrolment requires a verified, published review from an existing Dotdigital contact.
Put customer feedback into your campaigns
Add published, verified product reviews with EasyEditor App blocks. Show feedback about the featured product in an email, landing page or form, then adjust the review content and styling to fit the campaign. Enable the App blocks extension, then add the review block to the main canvas or a column. These blocks cannot sit inside dynamic content blocks.
Send invitations using a separate Flow workflow
Stores with Early User Program access can also use Shopify Flow to enrol customers in a Dotdigital review-invitation program when Judge.me’s request timing rules are met. Judge.me determines when to ask; your active Dotdigital program sends the invitation. This workflow is configured separately from review-data syncing.
How the integration works
Connect Judge.me from Dotdigital’s self-serve integrations and authorise your Shopify store. Review records become contact insight data in the Reviews collection. Choose an active program if you want eligible reviewers to enter an automated journey; data can still sync without a selected program.
For review display, enable EasyEditor App blocks and configure the Judge.me block. For invitations, enable Judge.me’s Shopify Flow events and connect Review request ready to Dotdigital’s program action. Enabling that request trigger stops Judge.me’s own request emails, so finish and test the Dotdigital invitation program before switching it on.
Before you connect
Judge.me: Awesome is required.
Dotdigital: use a Marketing account with its Shopify integration installed. The Shopify app is free to install, while the marketing service is paid separately; Dotdigital quotes pricing based on contacts and message volume.
Existing contacts: this connection does not create contacts. A review from someone absent from Dotdigital will not sync or enrol them in a program.
Review eligibility: automated enrolment needs verified, published reviews. The featured product-review blocks also require verified, published feedback.
Display and invitations: enable App blocks for review display. Review invitations additionally require Shopify Flow, Early User Program access to Review request ready, enabled Judge.me events and an active Dotdigital program.
